Where’s it at? Santa Cruz Mountains, Felton, CA

The 18 hole disc golf course in Felton, CA is also known as the Black Mouse Disc Golf Course. It is set among redwoods in a gorgeous but frequently humid part of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Poison Oak runs rampant among the redwoods that dot the course and offer good challenges to those that throw discs here.

I’ve been to the course a few times over the years. I do prefer travelling a little bit further over the hill to De La Veaga, but this course is definitely fun to play. One thing I don’t like about it is that it does always seem to be really hot and humid, granted i’ve never gone in the winter. I’d imagine it gets a little muddy in the winter and will venture to guess that this is a great destination course in the fall or spring on a cooler day.
